students of -a school conduct
themselves in such a manner
that the college paper reads them
out in no uncertain terms. The
people of the state are not pay
ing taxes to train up thugs or
prize fighters and if tho manage
ment cannot, or will not put a
stop to such conduct, then the
school should be abolished and
eut out that much expense to
the tax payers. It has only
been a shor ttime ago since an ag
gregation of thugs and bullies
of the institution tried to haze a
new student by making him
undergo a baptism in filth, which
resulted in a cutting scrape.
This was smoothed over, but it
seems that the same spirit still
prevails and it is up to the Re
gents to see that this matter is
settled and settled properly. If
the Faculty cannot keep order
then fire the faculty and get one
that can.

A very " pretty home wedding
took place Wednesday evening at
the residence of the bride's parents
Mr,' 'and Mrs. John Dickinson,
when, their daughter Gertrude
Mabel was united in marriage to
Roy W. .Bullard;' the ceremony
being performed by Rev. J. A. P.
McGaw. The bride was attired in
a handsome gown of white satin
with duchess lace, and carried a
shower boquet of white flowers.
The ceremony took place under
green, canopied with white flowers.
Green and white being the color
scheme of the bridal parlors. The
wedding supper table and dicing
room were beautiful in white and
green, Only relatives of the bride
and bridegroom were present.
