Todd, the furniture man, has
added a nice line of tinware and
other articles needful in camp life
to his stock, to be sold at prices
just nght.
Hop pickers are now beginning
to change yards. A few yards fin
ished picking this week. Hop
picking will be pretty well over in
another week.
Testimony has been taken by the
Seattle lunacy commission in the
case of Esther Mitchell and Maud
Creffield, and a report will be ren
dered in a few days.
Now iB the proper time to order
your letter heads, envelopes, cards
or other stationery. This office is

S. 8. Bailey, the Seattle million
aire horse owner, has leased the
Albany track for a number of
years and will keep his string of
horses in training at that place.

Grandma Siarka of Albany la via

(jerked back suddenly pulled off
one of his fingers. Jordan is
camped at the McLaughlin yard.
Leon Matthews, an employe with
the Sam Muhlman woodsaw, was
caught Wednesday and his left
forearm badly lacerated. The fletn
was torn off and the bone consid
erably ground up but Dr. Butler is
making an effort to save the arm
without amputation.
A man from the Davidson &
Hedges yard was sent to hla home
near Jefferson Wednesday, with
strong symptoms of typhoid fever.
He came here with fever Hoping
that the hop yard would restore
him to health, kut the physician
found it advisable to send hito out
where be can have better care.
Klamath basin, where the United
States is building irrigation works
to reclaim 250,000 acres of land,
offers the' chance of a lifetime to
homeseekers and investors. Not
