The Day Lumber Company plant, thai Ira Powers Manufacturing plant and the plant of the Mult notoah Trunk & Box Co. of Port land, were totally dextroyed by fire Thursday night of laat week. Tbe total loss was upwards of 1300.000; insurance $100,000. F. A. Douty who has interests here is one of the 6rrn of the Multnomah Trunk & Kox Co. The loss of that firm is estimated at $150,000 with insur ance of $30,000. Letters received from business associates and rela tives of Mr. Douty here, state the company will rebuild and the bus iness of the Multnomah Trunk & Box Co. continued.
