outfit to W. F. Campbell, who will
operate the same. Mr. Skinner

will engage as yet.

Monday morning the Sheridan
bank was looted, and $7,000 taken
therefrom. There is no clew to the
robbers, except it is thought there
were three in u umber and escaped
in a rabbertired buggy.

C. A.McLaughlin, the hop man,
received the sad new of the death
of his mother, who li ved at Ford
wick. St Johns, Canada. He and
his wife intend lenvinir today for
that city.
II. Mattison ha purchased the
dairy of A. Nelson. "Farmer
Stebbins" is a genuine hustler, and
it is assured that Independence
will continue to have a first-clan
dairy. He will take chargs about
the first of November.
