Mrs. Fay Allison, of Cottage
drove, is visiting relatives in town.
Mrs. Sherman Hays returned to
Pendloton Monday afternoon. She
prefers Eastern Oregon to the val
ley. Kev. Dr. T. B. Ford, of Eugene,
was in the city this week in the
capacity of his ofiice, presiding
elder of the M. E. church for this
district.
Mrs. II. C. Wade, nee Miss Kate
Fudgo, of Waitsburg, Wash., ar
rived here Tuesday for a visit with
Mrs A. D. Davidson and other
relatives. '
Mr and Mrs.' Dave Foulkes re
turned Tuesday to their home in
Portland, after a short visit with
Mrs Foulkes' parents, Mr. and
Mrs. L. Ground, of Monmouth.
J. M. Stark, who recently pur
chased the livrv stable building
south of his hotel, will move .it
back to the alley, thus removing to
a great extent the danger of loss by
fire.
