Robinson, of the Washington State Agricultural College, at Pullman. Mr. Robin son is a graduate of the State Nor mal School of Nebraska and the State University of Illinois, hold ing the degrees of A. B. and A. M from the latter. He has had 12 years' experience as teacher in pub lic schools and colleges. Mr. Robinson comes with splen did recommendations from Presi dent Bryan, of Pullman; State Superintendent Fowler, of Nebras ka, and Stale Superintendent Sabin, of Iowa, in addition to others of value. His thorough laboratory train incin the university and experi ence as instructor in physics at Pullman will greatly strengthen the department of mathematics and physics in the State Normal School. In 1S52 he came with his parents across the plains to Oregon, and settled in Marion county. There he grew to manhood and in 1870 married Miss Sarah Fisher, re moving to this city in 1871, where he made his home till the day of his death.
