verse conditions, one can only
wonder at the succesg which would
have greeted it under more auspi
cious surroundings.
E. V Cooper canie down from
Vale, Malheur county, to vote and
spend a few days with I. M. Butler
and family. He says, from a busi
ness standpoint, Vale oilers many

Leonard residence and Is making a

picnic held there on that day. The
crowd from Albany for the same

Albany and Corvallis college teams
a drubbing.
