one of its oldest resident and this
vicinity one ot its most respected
citizens.
Elizabeth Ford was born in
Kendall county. Illinois, on the
loth day of June, ISoS. When
she was 15 year old her parents,
James and Mary Ford, with their
family, accomplished the long and
dangerous crossing of the nlains to
this then new Oregon country,
settling and building them a home
in 1S.":1, ar-d three years later, in
IS.'jG, Elizabeth Ford was united
in marriagM to J. J. Hell. Twelye
children blessed this union, five of
whom survive.
Mrs Hell died at her home near

The funeral was held on the day

successfully passed the examination
at the Jeflerson Medical College,

He will leave Philadelphia for
Wardner May 30th. He is as yet
undecided where he will locate.
