Perhaps thor- K . . ..... oughly happy ana satisiactory ine may be fairly described as the con tinual realization of well-founded hopes. On the other hand, high in the catalogue of human woes, we must rank disappointed hopes. Tho many failures of life's endeav ors and the downfall of air castles, form a large part of the suffering that falls to the lot of men and women. And yat this kind of trouble is not to be always possi tively endured; much of it may be withstood and prevented. For it is largely owing to the thoughtless, way in which we allow ourselves to indulge in unreasonable hopes, many of which are impossible of fruition, because they are inconsis tent with each other. Indeed a la ran nrnnortion of frustrated hopes e i---r mav be traced to a mental incapac ity to see the impossible. There are certain advantages which be long to different paths in life, and can only be secured by those wno Attempted Murder Near 8c lo. Mrs. Hyatt i in a critical condition and cannot live The murderous deeds are supposed to have been done by tramps, and the motive was robbery as it is thought the women had money on the premises. The only clue the would-be assnBsins left behind them was a pair of spectacles and a false mustache. mm j Right Arm Paralyzed! Saved from St. Vitus Dance. Our daughter, Blanche, now fif teen years of age, had been terribly afflicted with nervousness, and had lost the entire use of her right arm. We feared St. Vitus dance, and tried the best physicians, with no benefit. She has taken three bottles of Dr. Miles' NerviDO and has gained 31 pounds. Her nervousness and symp toms of St. Vitus dance are entirely gone, she attends school regularly, and has recovered complete use of her arm, ber appetite is splendid." UUa. E. K. BULLOCK. Brighton.
