The E. Clemens Horst company is arranging to start the ball rolling next Friday morning. The company has everything in readiness and will employ approximately a thousand people during the picking season. The Wigrich will finish the harvest ing of the Fuggles, or early hops, next Tuesday, and it is possible that picking will be started in the cluster hops at once. C A. McLaughlin stated yesterday that he would not start picking until Monday, September 5th, and is of the opinion that in the meantime hops will not suffer ary.
