In November. 1909. the plaintiff al leges, a shipment of 100 bales of hopii wag sent from hero consigned to C, Schmidt & Sons of Philadelphia, Pa. The car which the company used, the plaintiff avers, was defective, so that dampness and cold ro'nert 23 bales of the hops, and the plaintiff now sues to recover damages. Attorneys John H. and C. L. The Patchen Boy only lost 5 heats during his entire racing career, and up to 1897 won $4,300, more .money than any three-year-old previous to that date, beating such great horses as George W.
