Rev. Dr. Bell Retaliate.
After reading George Brey's com
munlcatlon from Independence, Dr. J.
K. N. Bell laughingly observed that
e would rather be a "windbag" than
a disgruntled dyspeptic. Dr. Bell
vouches for the statement that Brey
bas long been afflicted with an epi
zootic, a disease common to horses
iut caughtt In this instance by an an
imal that brays. Brey is also afflcted
-with granulated phalanx, a compound
fracture of the sarcophagus, and
there is a strong suspicion that his
-diagram is disarranged. That's what
makes him wheeze when he Brers in
print. Dr. Bell says he did not mis
represent the activities at Indepen
dence and will never be guilty of
"knocking any place as badly as Brey
lias Independence. He thinks the cit
izens of the hustling burg up north
-would do well to raise a purse and
aend his old friend Brey to the Battle
Creek Sanitarium that his stomach
difficulty, at least, may be alleviated.
