Dwight Dayhoff and wife were Mon mouth traders Wednesday. Clyde Hill and wife have moved to their hop ranch near Independence. Rev. McCain, pastor of the Metho dist church of Buena Vista, In com pany with Rev. Wire of Eugene and Rev. Weber of Independence, came to Buena Vista Saturday on the stage. A number of the late converts were baptized Saturday afternoon by Rev. Weber, among them being Mrs. Em ma Grounds, Ray Grounds, Roy El kins, Willie Bevens, Willie Hall and Clyde Williams. Miss Tinnie Klzer and C. E. Nash spent Saturday and Sunday with the latter's parents -of this place. The illustrated lecture given In the M. E. church Saturday night by Rev erends McCain and Weber was well attended and besides being very en tertaining it was highly instructive. The lecture and illustrations dealt with the educating of the negroes.
