The announcement in last week's Enterprise of Mr. Truitt.and Mr. Bix by exchanging farms was a false alarm as the trade was never consum , mated. j Isaac Compton was over to Mr. Al iexander's Friday after a cow which the Monmeuth butcher had purchased Mr. Truitt arrived home Thursday (from Oregon City where he had been on business. He was accompanied i home by his mother-in-law. ! Mrs. Joe Loundree went to Indepen j dence Friday evening where on Sat jurday morning in company with her brother, George Shafer, she boarded Skinners' boat for Salem on the way to her home at Boring. , The Misses Maude Vallifre and Ethel Shafer, with Ed Valliere and Emerson Shafer spent Sunday with Mr. Ewing and family of Indepen dence.
