The latest is that hickory nuts are
very desirable for food and that peo
ple should plant and cultivate a large
crop of hickory trees and use the nuts
generously. It is claimed that there
is no danger of hellegra, appendicitis
or any of those other maladies that

corn. It won't be many years now
until people will be liv ng in hickory
nut trees like squirrels.
Several important changes in the
designs of the paper money of the

retary MacVeagh, Assistant Secretary
Norton and Director Ralph of the
bureau of engraving and printing have
under consideration a general scheme
for systematizing the designs of all
-issues of paper money in such man
ner that the same portraits and em
blems will appear on all the notes of
the same denomination.
