Wm. Woods who works in the liv
ery of I. W. Dickinson of this city
met with an accident while returning
from Dallas the first of the week. The
night was dark and missing his course
his rle was upset in a ditch. Mr.
Woods was piled up with the wreck
and one of the horses was almost kill
ed. Little other damage was done.

R. A. Johnson who had charge of
the cannery here last year, departed
with his wife for Albany where tney
will make their future home. Mr.
Johnson has been enployed In the

Cow Demands Regularity
The dairy cow Is a good timekeeper
and knows very well when milking
time comes. If she Is neglected and
allowed to go far beyond the regular
time she begins to worry and Jobs fol
lows. There are some cows that cer
tain milkers can never get clean. They
milk out all that flows readily and
trip around once or twice, then call It
finished. With some cows this an
swers, but with others the milker mus
reach well up on the udder and work
It with a sort of kneading process. A
little manipulation , of this sort will
cause the whole quantity to flow Into
the teats, whereas without it there will
be from a gill to a pint of the richest
milk left in the udder every time,
which means a prematurely dry cow.
