terprise, accompanied by Mrs. Hicks
and the children, left last Wednes
day morning for Henley, California,
to attend a family reunion on Christ
mas day at the home of hie parenta,

place. They will be gone a week or
ten daya and we trust every minute
of the time will be pleasantly spent.
Visitors from Black Rock and the
logging camps farther back In the
mountains report a heavy fall of
snow accompanied by eicceuingiy
cold weather. Residents In the val
lev districts have had no snow as
vet. while the weather has been sev
erely cold only during the past two
davs. Considering that It Is almost
Christmas and this is the first winter
weather experienced the people of
the Willamette Valley should nave
little to complain about on that score.

Mra. Ruth Hubbard, wife of Jamee
Hubbard, died at her homo near Dal

190H, after a abort Illness, her death
being duo to an attack of blood pois
oning. Mrs. Hubbard was a daugh

had resided near Dallas from child
hood. She was about 24 years of
