A farewell party given on Albin
Decker hist Saturday night at the
home of Walter Simon and Ed Drown
was well attended by his many Green
wood friends. Everybody enjoyed
themselves greatly. The music was
furnished by the Greenwood orchea-
tra. At 11:30 p. m. a bounteous old
supper was served. The Misses Janle
Young and Myrtle Urown being ap
Dolnted a committee to entertain
visitors of the G. W. D. C. was ap-
nreclated because we heard them
smile out loud.
Mrs. A. Brown and her son Nor
man was in Salem on business last
Saturday.
Mr. Morris has sold his farm to a
man from California.
RalDh and Roy Martin have been
cleaning up the farm and will con
tinue on at odd spells.
Albln Becker departed last Mon
day for Iowa.
Ralph and Iva Martin attended the
first card party of the season at
Rlckreall last Friday night.
The shooting match that was to
be pulled off at Greenwood will be
postponed.

The new Methodist church is al
most completed. The carpenters are
now putting on their finishing touch

Chris. Hussey has gone to Amity
to be treated by Dr. Wood. He will
probably be gone a week or so. We,
hope for his speedy recovery.
On Saturday. Dec. 12. the voters of
District No. 25 met at the school
house and voted a special tax, amoun
ting to 1200, to repair the school
house and build on a belfry for their
new bell, which was purchased from
the government. It used to be at the
Indian School at Gronde Ronde.
Mrs. Ira Yocam haa been very 111
for some time, but the last reports
are that she Is improving.
Fundman & Flannery have moved

been completed. It la located at the
foot of the hill. They will continue
