olive oil, one-half ctipful of finely
minced celery, two «llces of lemon,
two tahlespoonfuls of tarragon vinegar
nnd two tablespoonfuls of minced
onion, one tnblespoonful o f cider vine
gar. Ilent to the boiling point, re
move the slices of lemon and pour over
the potatoes.
Soul* Cream Cak« Filling.
Cook together one etipful each of
sour cream and brown sugar; when
thick stir In one cupful o f hickory nut
meats. Add flavoring and spread ou
the cake while still warm.
Sardine Salad.
Put two slnlks of celery Into hits,
chop hnlf a teaspoonful of parsley, re
move the skins and hones from a hox
of sardines and break Into hits. Toss
all together nnd chill. Serve with a
lndled dressing with some of the oil
front the can added If It Is o f good
flnvor. Serve on erlsp, well chilled let
tuce leaves.
