for the distribution of water during
the summer of 1920 under tbe direction
of water masters. These officials will
be appointed by the water board and
work under the dlrecUon of that body.
Measures to be submitted to the
voters of Oregon at tbe special elec
tion to be held on May 21 are to be
printed on a ballot of their own and
not on the regular primary nominating
ballot, according to a legal opinion
given by Attorney-General Brown.
This is necessary, according to the
attorney-general, for tbe reason that
only the republican and democratic
parties are represented at the pri
maries and persons of other political
affiliation would be deprived of their
right to vote on the meaaures. '

tributors will abide by tbe decision.
Tbe new price to tbe householder will
be 13 cents a quart where mid-month

14 cents.
Tbe state livestock sanitary board
has placed a sheep quarantine upon all
Klamath county, exclusive of the
Klamath Indian reservation, effective
April 1. The moving of sheep outside
tbe quarantine tone Is forbidden ex
cept upon certificate ot a properly
qualified Inspector that they are Is
