The latter, Mrs. Nancy J. Foster, died soon after his arrival. She was ounea luesaay. Mrs. roster was highly respected by a large circle of friends. She was born in Fair field, Pike county, Illinois in 1847, and crossed the plains with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Hubbard who traveled by ox team in 1853. They settled near Silverton.
