Bible school session at 10 o'clock.
The birth of Christ brought
new visions to many. Each re

renew our hope and increase our
vision.
Children's service at 11

the little ones. A special message
for the children.
God gives us opportunities
and furnishes the materials, but
we have to do the work.
Midweek service next week
will be on Thursday evening.
Don't miss it. Special features
are being planned.
It is fine to be right. If you
should get a lonesome feeling,
look around. There may be

Failing in this we would fail in
our mission. Let us help you.

Prosperity in 1915 Depends Upon
Faith in Our Country
Our nation is being penalized by a crisis of European meth
ods and ideals.
We cannot escape entirely the bitter fruit s of a war found
ed in governmental systems where Monarchy, Pater
nalism, Public Ownership and Autocracy go hand in hand.
Now as never before we have opportunity to compare American ideals and
methods with those practiced in Europe, and to measure what Amer
ican systems and institutions have gained for humanity.
Probably we will learn more and more each day of the coming year to ap
preciate "all we have and are," to regard our citizenship in a more
precious light, to see our problems more clearly, more tolerantly.
The war has made material prog
ress ditlicult throughout the United
States. It has added to the obstacles of
financing constructive effort. It has en
forced economies upon the large and
small; bus laid on the shelf plans for
many desirable things.
Prosperity in this country during
the coming year demands above every
thing else faith in our Republic and
faith between man and man. It cannot
be bad in suspicion and distrust.
If this military calamity teaches us
a deeper and more useful patriotism; if
it serves the advance understanding
among us of one another's rights and
wrongs; if it removes prejudice and
strikes down distrust then this war
will not be without benefit to the citi
zens of the United States. t
We hope for prosperity the coining
year. To have it will require hard work,
courage and faith in ourselves.
