The attendance this month is
much betner than it was for the
corresponding month last year,
as last year the attendance was
for month ending Nov. 5th. 95
per cent and this year is 96.3
per cent, also the record all
through the month has been bet
ter in all parts of the school
work. We must all try and keep
up this line of work and make
this the best year ever.

Roseburg Ships 7000 Turkeys
Roseburg, Or., Nov. 19-According
to local poultry dealers,
who consigned final shipments
of turkeys to the Coast markets

birds have been shipped from
Douglas county during the past
week. It is estimated that the
birds weighed approximately 80,
000 pounds and that the growers
realized $19,475.
An Oakland firm purchased in
uhe neighborhood of 4500 tur
keys, most of which were shipped
to the San Francisco and Seattle
markets. The firms paid an av
erage of 24 1-2 cents a pound.
One Roseburg firm purchased
2500 birds, for which it paid 24
cents a pound. These turkeys
were shipped to the Portland and
Seattle markets. Aside from
these shipments it is estimated
that about 500 turkeys were pur
chased in small lots and sold to
private concerns.

attend the rally in Monmouth
Saturday.
Harold Davis, of Monmouth,
was seen in our neighborhood

Oscar Lehman sold several
beef cattle to A. Nelson south of
Monmouth Saturday.
