Schools." Without examining ine col
lection or having shown it Superin
tendent Seymour took them to the
Gooseneck school on Friday to use
them as part of the rally day progiarn.
He had put only a few of these on the
screen when a picture oi y
school work appeared. In the col
lection of 35 pictures Mr. Seymour
found seven taken about the schools
in this county, just one-fifth of the
total collection. These seven were the
only pictures taken in uregon, an-1
excepting three taken in different
parts of the state of. Washington,
were the only pictures taken on the
Pacific coast. The remainder of the
collection were views of eastern scii'"il
work. The tribute to Polk county, its
school system and its accomplish
ments ia evident. That the federal
hnvean should recoirnize the work of
this oarticular county among all those
of Oregon and most of those on the
coast in preparing a series oi siiues
for exhibition throughout the nation
comes to the county like a prize from
a fair, an honor to a system that pro
duces results that seem to be better
than it hose of the majority of commu
nities in the country.
ACTION OF SINGLE SPOONFUL
SURPRISES MANY.
Dallas rjeoole who boueht the sim
ple mixture of buckthorn bark, gly
cerine, etc., known as Adler-i-ka, are
surprised at the INSTANT effect of
a SINGLE SPOONFUL. This rem
edv is so complete a bowel cleanser
that it is used successfully in appen
dicitis. Adler-i-ka acts on B01H up
per and lower bowel and ONE
SPOONFUL relieves almost aim i
CASE of constipation, sour or gassy
stomach. ONE MINUTE after you
take it the gasses rumble and pass
