AN IMPORTANT DECISION.
The United States supreme court has
recently handed down a decision that
is of vital interest to dairymen and
consumers of milk all over the coun
try. Briefly, it Is that a municipality
has the right to require all dairy cows
that furuish its milk supply to be tu
berculin tested and to prevent the sale
of any milk from cows not so tested.
The case on which this decision was
based was appealed from the city of
Milwaukee. The decision may. be a
bit tough on the furmer whose dairy
herd is shot to pieces with tuberculo
sis, yet it Is at the same time a ruling
for which every consumer of milk
should feel profoundly grateful.
