At ronk crusher plant No. 2, In the Lyons' yard on Salt Creek, there is still three or four days work to do done, after which the plant will ue moved to the Lee quarry near Bridge port to finish the season. a inmn amount of road work is being done in the county at this time no less than 21 crews, consisting of more than 50 men, and two-thirds as many teams being employed. It la ovnPf'tPri that about eight miles or rock road will be built this year, and nearly the same amount of road will be graveled. The lurgest crew is at work In the Wtllamina district. Tax Soon Kxhau.sted. It is said that the Bpeclul tax of eight mills voted by the residents of that district under which the work has been done, will be exhausted In 30 days following which the work will be carried on with money from the general road fund for another month, when operations will have to be suspended. Trouble has been experienced In getting gravel from Corvallls. as previously noted, and but a small portion of the amount contracted for by the county court has been deliv ered. Considerable gravel has been hauled from the Willamette river, however, and roads In that vicinity have received the benefit. Ten thousand feet of gravel from the Corvallls bunkers will be delivered In the county by the R. P. railway company. This will be used In four districts, and between 500 and 700 feet of gravel secured from the river will be used In each of 15 other dis tricts where work Is projected or un er way. The total amount of road work in ..... ......ntv for the present year will. ' it Is beloved, equal that of last year. which broke all records Tor me county.
