tian Church closed Sunday evening,
with an addition of sixteen members.

A special train reached Dallas yes
terday from Portland over the South
ern Pacific, consisting of a baggage
coach and the private car "California."
The latter was occupied by Superin
tendent Fields and Assistant Superin
tendent Blood, who were making their
regular monthly Inspection of the lines
In their Jurisdiction.
Mrs. A. Whitney and son, Loran,
are visiting relatives near Eugene.
Miss Nellie Damon, of Portland, is
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.
Damon.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles McCredje, of
Corvallis, are visiting friends and rel
atives here.
Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Allin returned
from Portland, Tuesday, where they
spent Christmas.
Mrs. Kate Walker and Mrs. Lula
Dornsife have returned from a visit
with friends in Portland.
Mr. and Mrs. Will McCredie, of
Portland, visited relatives here and

Miss Leora Shank returned to Port
land Tuesday, having spent a few days
at the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred

lodges held joint installation Tuesduy
evening, after which a banquet and
social good time was enjoyed.
Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin and their
daughter, Mrs. Wilcox, of Pendleton,
returned from a visit with Mr. and
Mrs. Niel Baldwin, of Salem, Tuesday

Miss Emma Henkle, who is teaching
in Condon, arrived here Saturday to
spend the Christmas vacation at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
