The way to build up Dallas is to pat

C. W. Bowers, of Mareellus, Michi
gan, yesterday completed the deal by
which for a consideration of $10,000
hecameloto possession of tbe T. A
Moorman ranch about three miles
east of Dallas, near Bickreall.
Mr. Bowers' newly acquired farm
contains about 138 acres of the finest
land for agricultural and dairying
work that can be secured In this
neighborhood. It lies on the county
highway and the railroad which is
now being built from Dallas to Salem
runs directly through the tract, assur
ing prompt and easy communication
with the large trade centers and mar
kets in either direction. It is the
intention of the new owner to have the
land platted into ten-acre tracts which
will be placed on sale at once. Mr.
Bowers has placed the sale of the land
entirely in the hands of H. G. Camp
bell, of this city, who was bis agent in
making the purchase and who will

Lay Pipes Across Church Street.
The Dallas Water Company Is mak
ing all necessary excavations for lay
ing pipes across Church street before
the macadam pavement is laid, so
that property holders along that street
will be able to make water connections
In future without it being necessary
to tear up and damage the street sur
face. All sewer pipus across that
street In the improvement district

ing of the water pipes across tbe street
now makes It practically certain that
there will be no need of breaking or
disturbing the new surface for pipe
