Speaking of the Norris & Bowe
show, the San Francisco Examiner of
January 12th said : "Many hundreds
of people were turned away from the
Auditorium yesterday at the opening
of the Greater Norris and Bowe circus,
being unable to secure admittance to
the big building. Those who were
fortunate enough to be admitted, and
there were thousands of them, saw
one of the best circus performances
ever given in this city and under the
most favorable conditions. Among
the 200 circus celebrities are per
formers who have appeared in all of
the big circuses In this country and
Europe, prominent among them being
the Peerless Potters, aerlallsts, whose
daring exploits in the air Is thrilling
in theextreme ; the Herzog high sobool
horses came direct from a successful
engagement at the Hipprodrome, New
York city, to Norris and Bowe. It is
the best equine act ever seen here.
The Orton family, jecently returned
from a successful engagement in
Europe, scored a hit; the Suigomoto
family are Japanese performers, par
excellent ; the Honey Mora troupe, the
McDonald family, the Marvelous
Castello8 are all of European reputa
tlon and present graceful and difficult
acts.
But why try to enumerate all of
the good things that Norris and Bowe
are presenting? One must see it to
have any realization of the immensity
and magnitude of the show. Norris
and Bowe are to be watched by the
other big circus men of this country
for they are fast forging to the front
The programme that they are present
ing is first-class in every particular,
It is a big show, too. The Norris and
Bowe circus will exhibit in Dallas,

6th, and will present the same pro
gram in every respect that they had
in San Francisco. A big street parade
will be (riven at 10 o'clock on the
