Succumbs to Brief Illness of Pneu
monia, Complicated With Heart
Disease.
Mrs. Mary H. White, wife of if illard
P, White, of Rickreall, died Wednes
day night after a brief illness, her
death being dun to a complication of
pneumonia and heart trouble. Her
husband was in Enterprise, Eastern
Oregon, but a message was sent at
once summoning him back tobis home
and he arrived at Rickreall laat night.
The time for the funeral services has
not yet been determined upon.
Mrs. White was a daughter of Henry
and Elizabeth Myer and was born on
the old home place near Rickreall io
1855. In 1873, at the age of 18 years,
she was married to M" F. White. The
young couple settled near Rickreall,
where they resided up to the present
time. Mrs. White is survived by her
husband and four children Henry
and Myrtle, who reside on the home
place, Mrs. Gussie Patton, of Salera.
An effort Is being made by the youDg and Homer White, of Waila Walla.

Dallas who are interested io the bet
terment of this Institution, may confer
great benefit upon it by donating cop

ished reading them, or by giving back
numbers of any good periodicals that
they may have on hand.
County Fruit Inspector J. B. Nunn
says that within the past two weeks,
he has received orders for several
thousand plants of various small
fruits, mostly raspberries, from the
farmers and fruit raisers of Dallas
and vicinity who are preparing as
rapidly as possible to supply the
Increased demand for these prodnetn
which will be caused by the Installing
of a fruit cannery In this city.
J. II. McNary, the popular and
efficient Prosecuting Attorney of the
Third Judicial District, has decided
that he does not want the offloe of
Federal Prosecutor. He fools grateful
to his friends for their proffer of
assiBtauco in landing tho Job, but says
the salary la not sufficient to Justify
him In abandoning his law practice
and surrendering his present portion.
