DALLAS CHEESE FACTORY.
R. Robinson, the well-known cheese
manufacturer, will 1 in Dallas in a
tw davs to make arrangemecta for
re-saming operations at his cheese
faetonr at this r-laee. He writes the
Oici-EETES from Tonland as follows:
'I would he pleased to have you

yosircityia a short time to see what
can be doce about getting the cheese
factory Kaned. This season is going
to be tie best that the state has ever
had in the dairy line. I hare been so
busy here acd in Tillamook that I
have been unable to Tisit Dallas
so tier.
The probability that the Dallas
factory will be operated again
this year will be welcome news to the
farmers of this Ticinirv. many of
whom have been anxiously awaiting
word from Mr. Robinson as to his
plans for this season.
The Dallas factory was established
last year and was operated during the
cheese-making season with a fair de
cree of success. The industry was
new to the farmers at that time, and
for the first few months the enterprise
received indifferent support But after
' the factory had been operated for a
time and it was seen that the patrons
were reaping golden returns from the
product of their dairy herds, the
doubtful ones began to fall iu line
and the business soon began to in
crease. The factory was kept running
until late in the summer and until the
pasturage had cut off the supply of
milk, when it was no longer possible
to operate at a profit. The cheese
turned out by the Dalla3 factory was
of excellent quality and was eagerly
sought by the dealers In dairy pro
ducts. It is to be hoped that the factory
will be operated on a much larger
scale this year, as a first-class cheese
plant in Dallas will will add greatly
to the prosperity of the community. It
is a will-known and uLdispuUd fact
that a cheese factory is much more
profitable to the farmers than a
creamery. The reason for this is that
the milk requires less handling and
there i3 absolutely no loss of butter
fat. Farmers who have had experience
with both industries have no hesitancy
in declaring in favor of a cheese
factory as the more profitable matkf-t
for their milk.
Hundreds of gallons of milk and
cream that should be manufactured
into dairy products here at home are
shipped from Dallas every day, and
there is no good reason why one of the
largest and best cheese factories in
the state should not be built up and
successfully operated at this place.
The success or failurecf theeuterprise
will rest with the farmers themselves,
and as they are the ones who will
receive the most direct benefit from
an enterprise of this kind, there would
seem no good reason why the factory
should not grow and prosper from the
beginning.

ver says: "The street committee of
the city council is considering the
proposition of shipping Id cement by
the carload, in order that it may con
struct the city walks at the lowest pos
sible expense, and in case they do
they may have some to sell to citizens
who have walks to construct. The
committee might be induced to order
several cars for the beuefit of the peo
ple if it received sufflcieut orders. The
committee is also considering the
proposition of doing the work for oth
ers. The idea is, by letting a large
contract, the work could be done
cheaper than If the individual let the
contract himself."

of February, 1007. the plaintiff in the above-entitled
cause, whose name is now Lucy E. Rowel I.

of law, tor the rt sioration of the following de
scribed part of the record of said Court in said
cause, which is alleged to have been lost or de
stroyed. The summons, the HherirTs indorsement
thereon, show ing the date of delivery thereof to
him for service, the Sheriffs return thereon, the
affidavit for an order for publication of sum
mons, the order of the Judge of said Court,
directing that service be made by publication
of summons and by mailing a copy of the com
plaint and summons to the defendant, the
proof of the mailing of such copies, and the
proof of the publication of summons.
Also that said plaintiff has applied to said
Court for an order aud decree amending and
correcting the decree of said Court given and
made in aaid suit on the .'th day of June 195
and entered aud recorded at page 125 of volume
10 of the journal of said Court, nunc pro tunc
as of the oth day of June. lHSift. so thai the name
ol the plaintiff in said suit shall appear therein
as Lucy E. Buchanan and the name of the de
fendant shall appear therein as John F. Buch
anan, and so that the said decree shall state
substantially that the said defendant has been
duly served with the summons in said suit and
has failed to answer the complaint therein and
shall further state and declare that themarriage
contract existing between the plaintiff and the
defendant in said suit is forever annulled dis
solved and held for naught.
You are therefore notified and required to ap
pear and answer the snid application within
six weeks from tne date of the first publication
of this notice, to-wit: On or before the h day
of May. I;;and if you fail so to answer, for
want thereof, the plaintiff and applicant afore
said will apply to said Court for an order and
decree restoring the part of the record in said
suit which ha been lost or destroyed snd cor
rectingand amending the decree given, made
snd entered therein June 5, lt-95, as petitioned
and prayed for in Ihe said application, and as
hereinbefore psrticnlarly mentioned.
