The most eloquent, the most appro priate and the most effective of the numerous excellent addresses at the development meeting at Medford, Fri day evening, was made by President B. F. Mulkey of the Southern Oregon State Normal School at Ashland. The Tidings does not not seek to flatter but this was the sentiment it heard fre quently expressed, and acknowledge ment of it Is not deemed out of place, especially inasmuch as the work In which President Mulkey is daily en gaged so often meets with a deplor able lack of appreciation among the people In general. Hayter, Dallas, Oregon, Dear Sir : I have your letter this morning, and feel that the business men and farmers of Dallas are Interested in having a cheese factory. Tell them I will be there as soon as possible probably within the next ten days. If only to show my appreciation of the good work you have done, I will make the venture. Will say right here, that if a reasonable amount of 1 milk comes in, I will not accept a dollar from any one. Tell the farmers to go ahead and get as many cows as they can keep, and I will turn their milk into money for them. R. ROBINSON.
