Ought, it would seem, to give exemption from the diseases which prey upon the residents of thickly populated cities. Weak lungs are made strong by the use of Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Dis covery. It cures obstinate and stubborn coughs, bronchitis, bleeding of the lungs and other svmptoms which, if neglected or unskillmlly treated, terminate fatally jn consumption. The action of Golden Medical Discovery in the curing of wast ing diseases is entirely philosophic. Emaciation, and consequent loss of weight, are among the most striking symptoms of what are known as wast ing diseases. The body is not being ade quately nourished, and the cause of this lack of nourishment is not lack of food but lack pf ability iu the stomach and the other organs of digestion aud nutri tion to prepare the food for the assimila tion and nutrition of the body. Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery cures diseases of the stomach and the oigana or digestion ana nutrition, ana so en ables the body to be nourished back to strength in the only way by which strength can come ; that is, by food per fectly digested and assimilated. Dr. Pierre's Golden Medical Discovery is a temperance medicine. It contains no alcohol, ne-ther opium, cocaine or anv other narcotic. Accept no substitute for " Discovery." There is nothing "just as good "for you, though many things may pay the dealer a larger protit. CAUGHT COLD. The first dav of this vear." writes Mrs. Kate Schev, of 716 St. Paul Avenue. Milwaukee. My breath waa not so short and I wns much improved, After taking four bottles X could work all day, and I never felt better in my lite. I think your medi cine the best in the world and I recommend it to all who are troubled as I was. WILL MAKE AFFIDAVIT. "I was sick for about three months, had chills, fever, and coughed a great deal," writes Mr. V. L. Brown, of McDearman, Jackson Co., Tenn. Most of my neighbors and friends thought I had consumption. I was reduced in flesh, and was very weak only weighed no pounds ; my physician thought there was little tope for my recovery. Mv wile went to the store to cct some anti- febrin. quinine, etc., for me and a friend of min (Mr. W. W. McDearman), who had been taking Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery recom niended this medicine for me. Finally I decided a use it, after my physician told me that it would be good for me. I sent and got one bottle, and before all was taken I weighed 149 pounds a gain of pounds. X am still taking the Golden Medical Discovery, have taken nearly two bottles, and now weigh it pounds, which is more than 1 ever weighed. 1 am still graining strength and taking the Discovery.
