A Cure for Eczema.
My baby had eczema so bad that its
head was a solid mass of scabs and its
hair all came out. I tried many remedies
but none seemed to do any permanent
good until I used PeWitt's Witch Hazel
Salve. The eczema is cured, the scabs
are gone and the little one's scalp is per
fectly clean and healthy, and its hair is
growing beautifully again. I cannot
give too much praise to DeWitt's Witch
Hazel Salve Frank Farmer, Bluff City,
Ky. In buying Witch Hazel Salve look

origin il and the only one containing
pure Witch Hazel. The name E. C. De

BRIQHT'S DISEASE.
The largest sum ever paid for a pre
scription, changed hands in San Fran
cisco, August 30, 1901. The transfer in
volved in coin and stock $112,500.00 and
was paid by a party of business men for
a specific for Bright's Disease and Dia
betes, hitherto incurable diseases.
They commenced the serious investi
gation of the specific Nov. 15, 1900.
They interviewed scores of the cured
and tried it out on its merits by putting
over three dozen cases on the treatment
and watching them. They also got phy
sicians to name chronic, incurable cases,
and administered it with the physicians
for judges. Up to Aug. 25, eighty-eeyen
per cent of the test cases were either
well or progressing favorably.
There being but thirteen per cent of
failures, the parties were satisfied and
closed the transaction. The proceedings
of the investigating committee and the
clinical reports of the test cases were
published and will oe mailed free onap

What to Do.
There is comfort in the knowledge so
often expressed, that Dr. Kilmer's Swamp
Root, the great kidney remedy fulfills every
wish in curing rheumatism, pain in' the
back, kidneys, liver, bladder and every part
of the urinary passage. It corrects inability
to hold water and scalding pain in passing
it, or bad effects following use of liquor,
wine or beer, and overcomes that unpleasant
necessity of being compelled to go often
during the day, and to get up many times
during the night. The mild and the extra
ordinary effect of Swamp-Root is soon
realized. It stands the highest for its won

Many a man is looking out for his
health, but looking for disease in the
wrong direction. He takes medicine for
his nerves, which seem "gone to pfeces."
He "doctors" for his heart, which is
acting irregularly. He constantly stirs
up his liver with pills and powder. But
he does not get any better. He is look
ing for the cause of his complaints in
the wrong direction.
It is a common thing for some one
who has used Dr. Fieree's Golden Med
ical Discovery for "stomach trouble" to
find that when the diseased stomach is
cured the " weak " heart is made sound,
the sluggish liver stimulated, and the
throbbing nerves tranquilized. This fart
alone suggests the truth which every
leading medical scientist knows and rec
ognizes that diseases which seem re
mote from the stomach are often caused
by the disease of the stomach and other
organs of digestion and nutrition. When
the diseased stomach and the digestive
and nutritive system are cured of disease,
the other organs are cured with them.
Food is the basis of life and of
strength. But it is not the quantity of
food eaten which supports the life and
health of the body. The body is sus
tained by that portion of the food which
after being eaten is converted into
nourishment and properly assimilated.
When the stomach and its allied organs
of digestion and nutrition are diseased
or "weak," only part of the food eaten
is converted into nutrition, and the body
and its organs are therefore only partly
nourished. Dr. Pierce's Golden Med
ical Discovery cures the diseases of the
stomach and digestive and nutritive sys
tem which prevent the proper nourish
ment of the body. In that way the
body is once more strengthened in the
only way possible, by food properly
digested ami perfectly assimilated.
Any person suffering from disease in
chronic or aggravated form, is invited to
consult Dr. Tierce by letter free. AK
correspondence strictlv private and con
fidential. Address Dr. R. V. Pierce,
Buffalo, X. Y.
There is no alcohol in " Golden Med
ical Discovery," and it is entirely free
from opium, cocaine, and all other nar
cotics. Accept no substitute for " Golden Med
ical Discoverv." The main motive of
substitution is the desire of the dealer to
make a little more profit out of yon by
selling you a less meritorious medicine.

Seven MUSon boxes soW in past 13 months. ThlS Signature,
Rolling Mill
Seven out of every ten men who work in rolling mills, iron foundries and glass factories die
consumption. You know how curly in life these men pass away. The usual symptom is a
. . ifging, persistent cough sometimes short and hacking, sometimes hard and dry. The patient
ntws weaker and thinner day by dav. Death eventuully conquers. The trouble comes from
.u'enso heat, and the constant inhaling of the lino particl.C9 of dust and iron that fill the air.
;!i -se particles, under a microscope, show ragged, sharp edges, which tear and mutilate tho
li. iiealu lining of the throat and lungs. Perpetual sores are thus formed, nnd here it is that
the genus of consumption find a plaeo to feed and multiply. Acker's English Remedy was
discovered in Englund, and is the only cure in the world for Rolling Mill Consumption. It
heals up the sores, strengthens the mucous membranes of the breathing organs, permanently
stops the cough, builds up the constitution nnd imparts vigor to the whole system. It must
either cure or it costs you nothing. One bottle does wonders. Try it. What it has done for
many others it will also do for you and your loved ones.
Sold at 25c, 60c. and $1 a bottle throughout the United 6tatc9 and Canada; and in
England at Is. 2d., 2s. 8d., 4s. 6d. If you are not satisfied after buying, return the bottle to
your druggist, and get your money back.
