Library ‘Friends’ to
host book sale
The Friends of the Mon-
mouth Public Library will
host a special sale of nearly
new and gently read books
from Tuesday through Dec.
22 in the library.
Books will be available to
buy during regular library
hours, and will be located
on the Friends book sale
shelves.

(Short Term Educational Pro-
gramming) classes for youth
is offering a “crafts from the
kitchen” class on Dec. 5. Reg-
istration is due Dec. 3.
The class will be 9 a.m. to
2 p.m. at Polk’s Extension of-
fice, 289 E. Ellendale Ave,
suite 301, Dallas, and will
teach participants to make
jam, ice cream toppings and
other gift ideas.

The class offers a time for
people to gather and make
fudge, toffee, eat snack mix,
