What we do: Nonproit ministry that assists low-in-
come families in Dallas by reducing stress in homes and
enriching the lives of children through clothes, sup-
plies, scholarships and more.
Our wish list includes: Diapers/wipes (sizes 3 to 6);
baby wipes; hygienic supplies for kids and adults and
monetary donations.

What we do: The holiday drive matches Dallas fami-
lies in need with community members who adopt them
and provide a holiday meal and a gift for each child in
the family.
Our wish list includes: Wal-Mart gift cards (for
teenager toys); food cards to any store for last minute
requests on Friday when the Pantry is closed and a fam-
ily has no food; gas cards for families who have just
started a job but may not have the gas to get to em-
ployment; hygiene products; pillows.

What we do: To provide families in need a holiday
gift of food boxes — enough for a holiday meal and be-
yond in the greater Dallas area, including Rickreall, Per-
rydale and Falls City.
Our wish list includes: Volunteers to help sort, shop,
pack and deliver food boxes and toys to families in
need 6 a.m. on Dec. 24; conduct canned food drives;
support businesses that have our barrels in place (a list
can be found online); support school-sponsored
canned food drives; year-end charitable giving dona-
tions.

welcome.

historic enrichment programs that will build a founda-
tion of support, trust, education and growth experi-

ing those afected by poverty and homelessness.
Our wish list includes: Children’s art supplies
(crayons, paints, markers, construction paper, colored

pendence Health & Rehabilitation. The giving tree is lo-
cated at the Independence Public Library where people

gifts for residents. Also, cash donations to purchase
items not taken of the giving tree.

What we do: The Foundation provides inancial sup-
port for educational, civic, recreational and cultural ac-
tivities, programs, institutions, facilities and organiza-

in the boundaries of the Central 13J School District. Ba-
sically, anything which might be of beneit to the
greater Monmouth-Independence community and its
residents is within the general purpose of the Founda-
tion.
Our wish list includes: We need all of Monmouth
and Independence to be familiar with the Community
Foundation and its purpose; contributors to fulill our
wish to someday fund a scholarship for every interested
graduate of Central High School; contributors to fulill
our wish to help every Central School District 13J edu-
cator fund extra-curricular classroom projects outside
of their budget limitations; to be recognized as a source
of community pride for all citizens of Monmouth and
Independence; visionaries to help realize our mission 5,
10, 20, 50 and more years from now.

cheese. We also could use some can openers and items
to cook with and basic cookbooks.
