McBeth. Hartford looks to
make a return trip to state and
figures to be one of the Pan-
thers’ and the conference’s fas-
test runners.
Marlon Tuipulotu
Central football
The junior defensive line-
man established himself as
the Panthers’ defensive leader
in 2014. He earned second
team all-Mid-Willamette Con-
ference honors after leading
the team in
total tack-
les, sacks
and tackles-
for-loss. He
may be set
for an even
bigger sea-
son in 2015.
He’s already
Tuipulotu
attracted at-
tention from numerous Divi-
sion I universities, and Tuipu-
lotu said he’s improved his
technique. The Panthers will
lean on their defense early in
the season as players get set-
tled into key new roles on of-
fense. Tuipulotu will be the
one leading the charge.
Cambria Blair

senior out-
side hitter,

in a big way
for the Drag-
ons in 2014.
She record-
ed 80 kills

Blair
during Mid-
Willamette Conference play,
helping the Dragons to a 13-8
record overall and a trip to the
first round of the Class 5A state
playoffs. Blair will be one of
Dallas’ leaders this fall. Her abil-
ity to play a variety of positions
makes her one of the Dragons’
most versatile players. She’ll be
called upon to help lead an in-
experienced roster.

2014. The receiver/return spe-
cialist finished seventh in Divi-
sion II in all-purpose yards per
game (184.5) and led the con-
ference in receiving touch-
downs (11) and receiving
yards per game (104.5). Revis
will play an even bigger role
on offense as the Wolves’ top
receiver and return man this
fall. If the Wolves find success
on offense, Revis will likely be
a major reason why. Revis was
named to the D2Football.com
Preseason All-America first
team.
Makana Pundyke

for her efforts. Pundyke’s abil-
ity to score and create oppor-
tunities for the Wolves will be
key if WOU wants to earn a
spot in the GNAC champi-
onship.

CHS: Orozco’s
year likely over
Continued from Page 12A
“It’s a game we can
learn from,” Joe Orozco
said. “We can find the er-
rors on the field and fix
them. This is what these
games are for. We’re a
young team and we were
nervous at first.”
Among the issues Orozco
hopes to address include
putting on more pressure
defensively.
Despite her injury, Alyssa
Orozco plans to be at as
many practices and games
as she can to give her team
support.
“I like talking to everyone
and giving them my input if
I have something to say,”
she said.
The Panthers play at
Madison on Sept. 10 at 7
p.m. before hosting Mc-
Nary on Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.
Just because Alyssa
Orozco may be down for a
count doesn’t mean she or
Joe plan to let Central fal-
ter.
“It’s just a game,” Joe
Orozco said. “Any injury
can happen any time to
anyone. Don’t keep our
heads down. Keep fighting
for every ball and just
don’t give up.”
