Rickreall Grange
sale this weekend
Arts, Crafts in Open Class
The Rickreall Grange Hall
Community Sale will be Fri-
day, Saturday and Sunday at
the grange hall, 280 Main
St., Rickreall.
A bake sale will be in-
cluded on Friday. On Satur-
day, guests may operate
trains. A farmers market
will be on Sunday. Breakfast
and lunch specials will be
held all weekend.
The sale is open to all
vendors, whether local or
from out of town. Admis-
sion is free.
Fr iday and Saturday
hours are from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. Sunday, the sale will go
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

changed effective Tuesday.
Meals will only be served at

Engaged seeks
vision volunteers

turned more than 1,400 sur-
veys to share their visions of
Monmouth’s future through
the city of Monmouth’s vi-
sioning process, Monmouth
Engaged.
The next community
meeting will be at 7 p.m. on
Tuesday in Volunteer Hall,

mouth.
The event will be for peo-
ple to sign up to help make
Monmouth’s future happen.

Buell Grange to
host open house
Buell Grange Hall will
host an open house from 9
to 11 a.m. on Sunday. Re-
freshments will be served.
The hall is at 5970 Mill
Creek Rd., just off Hwy 22
norhwest of Dallas.
At the same time, organiz-
ers will accept usable items
to be sold at the Annual Fall
Market to benefit Grand
Sheramina Food Bank and
Buell Grange. The fall mar-
ket is Sept. 18 and 19.
Rafters set to race
this Saturday
The Great Willamette
River Raft Race is from 8
a.m. to 2 p.m., starting at
Riverview Park. Home-built
crafts, rafts and inner tubes
launch at 9 a.m. Canoes and
kayaks launch at 9:30 a.m.
The race is a tradition the
whole family can enjoy.
Business teams are wel-
come, too. The race starts in
Independence and goes
about 11.5 miles down the
Willamette River to Wallace
Marine Park in West Salem.
Kayaks and canoes travel
the distance in about two
hours. Others may take up
to four hours.
Registration on the day of
the race is $15 per person. A
$5 invasive species permit
may be required. Proceeds
benefit the Networking Ex-
change Club of Salem/
Keizer.

REUNION ROUNDUP
• Central High School 2015 Multi-Class
Reunion — A reunion for Central High
School’s multi-class reunion will be held
Aug. 7-9. The event is for those who gradu-
ated in the 1970s and 1980s.
The weekend activities begin with a
mixer at Kolby’s RB & B in Keizer from 6 to
10 p.m. on Aug. 7. From 11 a.m. to mid-
night, the gathering will be at Riverview
Park in Independence, and will include food
vendors, a beer garden and musical enter-
tainment. Cost for this event is $20 per per-
son or $30 per family. The weekend will
wrap up with a golf tournament on Aug. 9.

• Dallas High School Class of 1960 —
Dallas High School Class of 1960 will host its
55th reunion on Sept. 11 through 13. Reser-
vations are due by Aug. 15. Sept 11 will be a
potluck from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dallas City Park,
old section. On Sept. 12, the group will
meet at 5 p.m. for social hour at Pressed
Coffee & Wine Bar, followed by a buffet din-
ner at 5:30. A brunch will be on Sept. 13 at

• Independence High Class of 1950 —
Independence High School’s Class of 1950
will celebrate its 65th class reunion on Aug.
21 with a luncheon at Rock-n-Rogers Far-
rol’s Restaurant in Rickreall. Farrol Webb had
been a classmate. There are 34 survivors out
of 51 in the class, the largest ever to be
graduated from IHS. Cost of the luncheon is
$14.99. It begins at noon, but classic cars
will be on display beginning at 11 a.m. For

The annual All School Reunion will be at 11
a.m. on Aug. 22 at Henry Hill Educational

ESD/IED employee and board member re-
union will be at 1 p.m. on Aug. 9 at the home
