The contribution for the Tatter O d -

decreased has been for the Board of

fault to find.
According to these statements
the decrease of infant baptism
during the last year has been 1,298,

least six year previously, except

largest and most influential religi

Infant baptism is also, we think,
on the decrease in the same ratio
among all the denominations who
practice it. This is certainly en
couraging to those who contend for
pure apostolic Christianity. The
only astonishing feature is that a
---- practice for which there is neither
precept, tx ample nor logical infer
ence in all the Bible should ever
have found advocates among a
thinking people. But we rejoice
to know that its reign is of short
duration, and that sooner or later,
infant baptism must go.
