Then came to this cotrhty and in Ashland was employed as the leading workman in building the woolen factory and fitting it up and running it for a time. In April of 1872, he, in partnership with Bro. E. Emery, commenced building the flouring mill at E-jgle Point which was completed during that summer and in the fall he with his partner and his son, A. J. Daley, commenced operating this mill, which occupied his time until his fail ing health compelled him to turn his busiucss over to his son, A. J. D. His life has been full of business and energy. He ha2 been loved and re spected by all who knew him. His body was confined to mother earth in the beautiful cemetery near Ashland, this ceunty, on the 11th of July, 1883, amid sorrowing relatives an! friends.
