questions of the gravest importance
before the administration and the
country and their consideration
should not be prejudiced in the
public mind by even the suspicion
of tbo thought of a third terra.” Mr
McKinley knows there »re several
public
questions of importance
which may wreck all chances of the
republican party to elect the next
President, and wishes to impress
that fact upon the minds of some of
the prominent members of Lis party
who act ns though they thought
the administration owned
the
country and could do anything thoj
pleased without jeopardizing the
futuro success of the republican
party. The immediate effect of Mr
McKinley’s announcement was a
sort of fluttering activity amoug
those who are coaxing the growth
of boomlots for the next republican
nomination for a number of men,
including Senators Fairbanks, of
Indiana; Hanna and Foraker, of

ex-Senator Spooner, o f Wicon3in>

thing about the situation is that
there isn’ t the slightest evidence of
a Roosevelt boom in Washington.

2G, I rank E Griaworld’s mammoth
production of Uncle Tom’s Cabin,
under a water-proof pavilion with a
complete stage and enrload of special
scenery. Few companies carry the

does, on account of opera houses
being too -mall too small to nc-

world’s company only playes at the
opera houses of the large cities in
tho winter nnd uses his own tent
in the summer and wo can guarantee
the finest production over seen in
this or any other country. The
price o f admission to Uncle Tom’R
