Eugene for the purpose of organiz
ing a fruitgrowers’ association.

Shepard of Salem, one of the most
prominent fruitgrowers in the state, ;
was present, representing the Will
amette Valley Frune Association.
He explained fully the workings of
his association, its advantages. etc.
The new association will be formed
similar to the Willamette Valley As
sociation B. A. Washburne of Spring
held, W. O. Zeigler and C. M. Dens-
more of Eugene were appointed a
committee to draw up a constitution
and by-laws. The capital stock
will be placed at $10,000. Shares
will be $25 each, and will be sold
only to fruitgrowers.
Monday, April 11 the next meet
ing of the fruitgrowers will be held
at Frank's ball. Eugene, to adopt
constitution and elect officers. The
Cottage Grove precinct was ably I
