I believe in our present condition
that a road thrown up thoroughly
drained and covered with a good
coat of crushed rock and thor
oughly rolled, sufficient for most
of the roads in this county. At
least I believe such a road is all
the already over-burdened tax
payer can afford to build at this
time.
I am in favor of each road dis
trict choosing its road aupervisor,
and each road district should re
ceive its part of the road money
based on the taxable property in
each district.
Also, if I am elected I shall en
deavor to get full value for every
cent expended. I want full value
without favor to anyone. I shall
have no favors to bestow on' any
one that does not return full
value to the country.
I have a deep interest in Lane
county, and expect to make my
home here for my alloted time,
and your interests and my inter
ests are mutual, what is for your
benefit is for my benefit.
Thanking those who have so
kindly supported me without so
licitation for the nomination, I
promise all the voters and tax
payers, if elected, to give my
whole and undivided time to their
interests, and shall do my utmost
to reduce your taxes and will
greatly appreciate the honor if
you should elect me county judge.
