their memory in the minds o f a
much befuddled people.

FRUIT SELLING AGENCY
On Saturday, June 20, repre
sentatives o f fru itgro w ers’ asso
ciations at Forest Grove, Dilley,
Corvallis,
Eugene,
Sutherlin,
Yoncalla, Cottage Grove, Dallas,
Salem, Brownsville, Independ
ence, Gresham, Monmouth, New-
berg, Springfield and Roseburg
will attend a meeting to be held
in the Green Parlor o f the Port
land Commercial Club for the
purpose o f organizing a sub-cen
tral branch o f the North Pacific
Fruit Distributors, will elect one
member o f the board o f managers
for the Spokane show and will
complete the details o f a campaign
for marketing the 1914 crop o f
fruit in Western Oregon.
Mr. H. C. Sampson, secretary
o f the N. P. F. D., who is direct
ing this movement, said: " B r ie f

co-operative. The organization
will sell on a commission o f 10
cents per box, which is sufficient
to pay the expenses o f salaried
agents in all parts o f the world
and o f 67 special representatives.

world, keeping markets fully sup
plied, but never overloaded. ”
