T he w eather was stormy all day which no doubt kept some voters at home who would other wise have cast their ballots. There was no particular rivalry between opposing candidates and every th in g passed smoothly. M ayor G ilfry, was re-elected, as were Couucilm en W eber, Heed, S haub and H ager. Of the four other candidates for councilm en— Ifaw ley, Stratford, Colcord -and I.eabo— the first two nam ed were successful. E. J. Moore was elected recorder; 1?. J. M eituer, treasurer and W. E. Parsons, m arshal. These three officers had no opponents. Councilinen-elect Hawley and S tratford will occupy the places on the council m ade vacant by Couu cilmen George and O gram . Fol lowing are the candidates and the num ber of votes received by each: Mayor, G ilfry -45: M cDaniel 18; Recorder, Moore 61; Treasurer, Meinzer 62; M arshal, Parsons 59.
