Program At Shields School.
Court Convenes Tomorrow.
Last F riday was held an all day
session of two schools. T he other
school was the ’Blue M ountain”
school, which adjoins Shields Dis
trict. T he forenoon was taken up
in the gatheriug of the citizens and
school children of the respective
districts. At noon a bounteous
feast was spread, which contained
all of the good tilings, to be pre
pared by th e housewives of the far
mers. Kach and every one ate to
their fill.
In the afternoon, each school
rendered an elaborate program .
T he Shields school w hich is be
ing taught by I). L. Rowe, render
ed their program first, they enter

th e closing of the above named
program , Blue M ountain school,
which is tau g h t by Miss Alice
McCormack, of M arcola rendered
a creditable program . Both pro
gram s were excellent. T he day
was the closing of Blue M ountain
school. Miss Roxy Pringle, of
Cottage Grove, and Miss Nellie
McCord, of Creswell, were in atten
dance at the exercises. They are
both teachers of the Goshen school.

formed their different parts. As
the Blue M ountain school was the
visiting school much more ernbar-
