Siuslaw road near M apleton S atu r

and fam ily who were on their way
to the m outh of the Siuslaw river
| on an outing, had a narrow escape
: from incineration, according to re
ports received here. T he gasoline
tan k of the car struck a projecting
rock in the middle of the road,
causing th e tan k to leak . The
flame from the b u rn er soon com
m unicated to the tan k an d there
was an explosion. In a tw inkling
of the eye the whole c a r was en
veloped iu flames.
Mr. W ashburne purchased his
m achine from Moulleu .V Z acharias
