Death of Mrs. Laird.
Mrs. Lucinda Laird, a prom
inent early
pioneer of
Lane
county, died
at her home iu
Eugene Wednesday from creeping
paralysis. She was aged 77 years,
11 months and 13 days. She
leaves five sous and three daugh
ters.
Mrs. Laird and her husband,
who died at Pleasant Hill in 1876,
came across the plaius to Oregon
in the early fifties and settled in
Lane county. They were among
the best known pioneers o f this
discourse, by the pastor, “ The part o f the state.
