For utmost three years I have been making the most liberal phonograph offer ever known! I have given hosts of people
the opportunity of hearing the genuine Edison Phonograph right in their own homes without a cent of cost to them.

I know th at there are thousands and thousands of people who have never heard the
Genuine E d iso n Phonograph. Nenrly e v e ry o n e is fam iliar w ith the screechy, un
natural sounds produced by the imitation machines ‘ sonic of which though inferior are very
expensive). After hearing the old stylo aud imitation machine« people become prejudiced
iurainst all kind* o f ” Talking Machines.” Now. there’s only ono way to convince these
people that the Kdison is superior, and that is to let the people actually see and hear this
»markable instrument for themselves. T h a t is w h y I n m m a kin g; th is o ile r.
I can't t e l l you ono-twentieth <>f tire wonders o f the Kdison. Nothin« I can say or
write will make you actually h e a r the «rand, full beauty o f its tones. No words
can b e g in todescrtl** tbe tender, delicate sweetness with which the «enuine
new stvlo Fdlson reproduce* the »oft, pleadin« notes o f the flute, or the
thunderous, rrashin« harmony o f a full brass band selection. Tbe wonders
o f the new style Kdison defy the power o f any pen to describe. Neither
will I try to tell you how. when you’ re tired, nervous and blue, the Kdison
will soothe you. comfort and rest you. and «tv e W»u new stren«tk to
take up the burdens o f life afresh.

A ll I ask you to do is to Invite as m any as
possible of your friend« to hear this won
derful new style Ediron. Y o u will want to do that anyway, because you will be rivin g
them genuine plcasnre. I feel absolutely certain th a t out of the number of your friends
who will hear your machine there will be a t least one and probably more who will want
an Edison of their own. If they don’t, if n ot a single one of them orders a Phonograph
(and this sometimes happens) I won’t blame you in the slightest. I shail feel that you
have done your part when yon have given these free concerts. Y o u won’t be a*ke*l
to act as our agent or even assist in the sale of a single instrument. In fact we appoint
no such agents and a t the rock-bottom price on this wonderful new outfit we could
not allow any commission to anyone.
T h e P h o n o grap h —th a t is if yon wish to make
the Phonograph your own, yon may do so. but
It is n o f compulsory. T h is is a free trial. You may send it back at our expense if you
wish. I won’t be surprised, however, if you wish to keep th e machine alter having it
in your own borne. If you do wish to keep it. either remit us the price in full, or if yon
prefer, we will allow you to pay for it on the easiest kind of payments.
There are so m any people who really
w ant a phonograph but who do not
have tbe ready cash to pay for it all at once that I have
deckled on an easy payment plan that gives you absolute
use of the phonograph while paying for it. *UJQ a month
