precarious condition, advised tak
ing her to the General hospital for
an operation. She was taken
down on the noon train Tuesday
and taken to the hospital to receive
treatment.

went to the Eugene hospital W ed
nesday and was operated upon on
the following day by Dr Van
W inkle of this city and Dr. Kuy
kendall of Eugene. The patient
is doing well and the work is con
sidered a success. She will prob
ably remain in the hospital for two
weeks.
